What we have built in, what we know is imperfect, and how to tell us when something does not work.
Our commitment
EquiTel Compliance Solutions aims to make this site usable by as many people as possible, including those using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings.
Conformance target
We target WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We consider the site partially conformant: most of the standard is met, and the exceptions below are known.
What is implemented
- Reduced motion is fully respected. Every animation, canvas visual, and transition stops when the operating system requests reduced motion.
- Content does not depend on JavaScript. With scripts disabled the site renders completely; only decorative motion is lost.
- Keyboard navigation throughout, including menus, which open on focus as well as hover.
- Semantic headings, landmarks, and form labels.
- Text contrast tested against the dark palette; decorative canvas visuals are marked
aria-hiddenand carry no information not stated in text. - Images carry alternative text or are marked decorative.
- Layout reflows to 320px and supports zoom to 200% without loss of content.
Known limitations
- Dense data tables in some guides require horizontal scrolling on small screens.
- Interactive demonstrations on the Product Experience page convey some state visually; equivalent information is present in adjacent text, but the experience is not equivalent.
- The dark colour scheme has no light-mode alternative. Some users with astigmatism find light text on dark backgrounds harder to read.
- Third-party analytics and video, where enabled, are outside our direct control.
